Ruth 11 months old!

As I write this blog I can hardly believe my baby is almost 1! She keeps me on my toes and I can't imagine life without her. Our little ball of energy goes non stop. If she is awake, she is moving! She is well beyond her age of just 11 months starting to run and climb. People are constantly amazed commenting on her petite size and abilities. She eats it up preforming for anyone who will watch her. At the end of the day she's a mama's girl. While this makes dropping her off at church and other activities hard I wouldn't have it any other way.

Weight- 18.5 lbs
Height- ??
Clothes Size- 6-9 and 9 month
Shoe size- 2 and 3
Diaper size- 3
Teeth- 2

Likes- pulling her toys out, banging things, fruit, people, being chased, running, opening cabinets and drawers, holding books, going in mama and daddy's room, bread, cheese, "nugging" soft things (aka snuggling), commercials with a good beat or song, Mama's keys, dancing, musical toys, milk, swinging in swings, her "purse" (aka an old plastic toy bag container with handle, her puppy, playing with computer wires.

Dislikes- not getting her way, having to be held, getting left for childcare, laying down for a nap, sitting in a shopping cart too long, falling, waiting, laying for a diaper change.

Food- Ruth is pretty adventurous. She will normally take a bite of anything we offer her. She doesn't always want a second bite but we continue to try and put it on her tray in hopes that eventually she will change her mind. She has developed a nasty habit of throwing her plate and food on the floor. Please pray for our patience as we work with her to change this behavior.

On the move- As I said before, Ruth is very active. She is happy to play as long as you will let her. She has recently learned to climb stairs at our church. Please pray for her safety as she continues to learn how to move her body. We are enrolling her in a gymnastics class next month and are excited to allow her to explore movement in new fun ways!

Teeth- We have been teething for the last few weeks. It looks as if her top right tooth wants to break through any day now. We are blessed that overall her mood is not changed much due to teething.

Activities- Ruth and I spend most days together between Gilead House and our own house. She is a trooper to be very flexible. We also have 2 weekly classes we attend. Wednesday morning we go to a ladies bible study (with it's own children's program) and Wednesday night we attend a preschool music class at our church. She loves both. We are excited to add gymnastics next month.

Friends- Ruth has started making friends. She has three that she really seams to enjoy in particular. Orlando Beltran (3 years old), a seminary friend loves to run and is full of energy, She loves that he will play with and chase her! Isabel Magtibay (2 years old), a church friend is always sweet; helping Ruth to learn. They are in the same Sunday school class and music class. Cooper Barber, (11 months), is another seminary friend. They are totally on the same level and are so cute to watch. They love to touch each other and chase each other. We are so grateful for our friends!
