Wrote this a while back and forgot to post it... but better late than never right?

Ruth 7 Months Old!
Weight- 15 lbs 4 oz
Height- 21.25 Inches
Clothes Size- 3M and 3-6M
Shoe Size- 2
Diaper Size- 3
Likes- Cords, holding her hair brush during a diaper change, paper, abandoned flip flips, playing with her cup, tags, sucking on a rag, being held, being smiled at, the baby in the mirror, sweet potatoes and squash, Cooper, rolling on her tummy while getting a diaper change, crawling into tight spaces, her light up duck, standing with assistance, kids.
Dislikes- being set down to wait for a bottle, green beans and pears, getting stuck in a tight space, laying down for a nap, bumping her head, being held horizontally, not being able to see mom or dad, 5PM-6:30PM, being dressed on her back, being strapped into the car seat.
Food- This month Ruth was introduced to many yummy new foods (and a few gross new foods like baby beef and chicken... Ruth somewhat agreed.) Her tried list now includes (in order of which they were tried): rice Cereal, green beans, peas, carrots, prunes, Beef, pears, apples, squash, sweet potato, French bread, chicken, macaroni, and banana. Our plan had been to introduce all veggies before anything else however our plan was upset when Ruth got constipated. By order of the doctor we were instructed to give prunes, prune juice, and pears. They cleared her right up and she didn't mind getting fruit early at all. So far the only things she has totally rejected has been green beans and pears. We decided we would try them again in a month or so.
On the move- Ruth has mastered the army crawl and can get anywhere she wants to go. Because of our concrete floors she slides with ease and has had little motivation to learn to use her knees. Our carpeted friends houses and church has frustrated her and in the last 2 weeks she has started taking a few steps on her knees. We expect she will transition to just knees very soon.
Teeth- We have had no teeth show up yet. Pops (Steve's dad) checked them while we were in Seattle and told use he can feel them coming!
Firsts- Ruth made her first trip to Seattle and enjoyed meeting Aunt Kayla, Uncle Mike and their dog Lilly. This trip left us all excited for the holiday season where we will be back for Ruth's first Christmas. Ruth enjoyed her first Halloween this month too. She dressed as a Baby Ruth Candy Bar and was the cutest piece of candy we've ever seen. We all enjoyed spending the evening with the Barber family and walking the seminary for candy. Finally Ruth made her musical debut at church with her first performance. She did a great job and did all the motions :) mama and daddy were very proud!
An average day looks like this:
7:30AM- Wake up, Milk, Cereal (maybe a fruit too), Play
10AM-12PM- Nap
12PM-Wakeup, Milk, Veggie, Play
2:30PM-3:30PM- Nap
3:30PM-Wakeup play
4:00PM-Milk
4:30PM-Veggie/Meat, (maybe a fruit) Play
5:45PM Maybe a bonus nap if needed
6:15PM- Bath
6:45PM- Milk
7PM- Night Night Ruth!

Seattle Trip
This October we had the chance to go to Seattle for a mini vacation. This was Ruth's First time to Nana and Pop's house and meeting her Uncle Mike and Aunt Kayla. The trip was a blast! We got some much needed rest and relaxation. It got us very excited for Christmas time when we will get to add Shannon and the girls to the mix! Here are a few of our favorite pictures from the trip:

Ruth 6 months old!
Ruth has changed so much over the last month! It's hard to believe she's even the same baby. She continues to bless us daily as she shows us the world through her eyes. I have never met such a happy child. Her smile lights up a room. She is content just to be around people.
Weight- about 15 lbs
Height- ??
Diaper Size- 2
Shoe Size- 1
Clothes size- 3 months and some 3-6 months
Likes- Tags on anything, chewing flip flops, the mirror and flag on her exersaucer, milk, cereal, music class, chewing wash cloths, smiling, being talked too, playing in the bath, chewing her rings, her keys, mama's keys, singing, crawling, being helped to stand up, finding electrical cords, and noticing herself in the mirror.
Dislikes- being laid down for a nap, sleeping with poo in her diaper (who could blame her?), not being able to see a parent, seeing her milk and having to wait for it, being strapped into her carseat, daddy cheering at his football games, taking a nap at church, having to lay down to put on clothes, and being moved when she thinks she is going to be picked up.
Firsts- This month we started solids! Ruth is a huge fan of cereal! The first bite was a bit of a shock but once the shock wore off she decided it was delicious! She is now eating twice a day, breakfast and dinner. Ruth also played at the park for the first time this month. We have walked through a few times but this was the first time I felt ok putting her in the swing. We had a blast sharing this first with our dear friends Cooper and Amanda Barber. Another big girl first we did this month was sitting in the highchair at a restaurant. Steve and I went out to lunch and planned on holding her, however we saw the chair and decided to give it a try. She did great!! The only downside is she can't last as long sitting in the high chair as she can in her car-seat. Regardless we are very proud! Finally, this month Ruth has decided to have opinions on toys. She no longer goes for the toy closest to her she goes for the toy she thinks will be the most fun. Sometimes toys are not the first choice. Sometimes the things that are the most fun are chewing on a table leg or crawling under the table.
On the move- I'm shocked to tell you at 5 and a half months she started to crawl! It started by her being able to wiggle off her blanket and quickly turned into purposeful moving toward a toy. Now she is into everything!! If it's not a toy she goes for it... a stroller wheel, an electrical cord, lost flip flop are a few of her favorite "toys." Let the baby proofing begin!
